- Thanksgiving Proclamation -
- Delivered by -
- George Washington -
- The President of the United States of America -
New York, 3 October 1789
Whereas it is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor-- and whereas both Houses of Congress have by their joint Committee requested me to recommend to the People of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many signal favors of Almighty God especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness.

Now therefore I do recommend and assign Thursday the 26th day of November next to be devoted by the People of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being, who is the beneficent Author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be-- That we may then all unite in rendering unto him our sincere and humble thanks--for his kind care and protection of the People of this Country previous to their becoming a Nation--for the signal and manifold mercies, and the favorable interpositions of his Providence which we experienced in the course and conclusion of the late war--for the great degree of tranquility, union, and plenty, which we have since enjoyed--for the peaceable and rational manner, in which we have been enabled to establish constitutions of government for our safety and happiness, and particularly the national One now lately instituted--for the civil and religious liberty with which we are blessed; and the means we have of acquiring and diffusing useful knowledge; and in general for all the great and various favors which he hath been pleased to confer upon us.

And also that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech him to pardon our national and other transgressions-- to enable us all, whether in public or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually--to render our national government a blessing to all the people, by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed--to protect and guide all Sovereigns and Nations (especially such as have shewn kindness unto us) and to bless them with good government, peace, and concord--To promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the encrease of science among them and us--and generally to grant unto all Mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as he alone knows to be best.

Given under my hand at the City of New York the third day of October in the year of our Lord 1789.

A More Perfect Union

Any one aspect of the economy (including war) is small potatoes compared to the damage caused by the Marxist Socialist obama regime and those in support of Marxist Socialist activities of the present ruling party.  When all aspects of the economy are added together we see that these Marxist Socialist caused us enormous hurt and damage which will take years of sacrifice and hard work to repair.  These Marxist Socialist have stolen from our children and from us a future of clear prosperity and strapped us with a huge debt all to line their pockets, now.  China, for instance, holds much of that debt; the interest on that debt will help them build their military might which may tempt a future head of state in China to go to war.    We should Demand that the democrat Party pay off the obama debt, they and their cronies are lining their pockets with those stolen funds.

On Election Day 2012 I hope to be voting for a presidential Candidate who will have a servant's heart not a ruler's heart which is called for in the Constitution, and then we can have a serving party not a ruling one.  The United States of America is a REPRESENTATIVE REPUBLIC not Democracy and certainly not a Kingdom.  By the dictates of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution those in office are not to be rulers they are to be OUR servants. The Declaration of Independence and subsequently the Constitution are the embodiments of the laws of the land which LIMITS the size and power of OUR government, protecting our Liberties and Freedoms endowed by God.

Muslims Are Offending God Again

Muslims Are Offending God Again
Muslims demand that all citizens stop celebrating Christmas or there will be Hell to pay, REALLY? Well, that’s what Muslims are demanding in Europe; there they think they can get away with it. Here in America we believe in God, RIGHT? So, they can't get away with that here, RIGHT?
Maybe we could start realizing that Muslims are offenders; first they offend Jesus our God, second they offend us for our faith in our God and they offend our - Intelligence - for we do not have blind faith.
Firstly, our faith is based in - knowledge - of The Word of God through study we learn that the - Veracity - of Bible history and doctrines are true.
Secondly, our faith is based in - Understanding - because through study and prayer we continue to seek understanding; with the help of The Holy Spirit we understand the teachings of God.
Thirdly, having been established in - Knowledge and Understanding - we gain the - Wisdom - to cleave to our God who called us.
Fourthly, our faith in Jesus is honored by God and we Experience God's presents in our daily lives.
And, our faith becomes stronger daily as we - Trust - Him more and more while we go through life with our beloved God.

THE FENCE

On which side of the fence are you?

If you ever wondered which side of the fence you are on, this is a great test!

If a Republican doesn't like guns, he doesn't buy one.
If a Democrat doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.

If a Republican is a vegetarian, he doesn't eat meat.
If a Democrat is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.

If a Republican is homosexual, he quietly leads his life.
If a Democrat is homosexual, he demands legislated respect.

If a Republican is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation.
A Democrat wonders who is going to take care of him.

If a Republican doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels.
Democrat's demand that those they don't like be shut down.

If a Republican is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church.
A Democrat non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced.

If a Republican decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it.
A Democrat demands that the rest of us pay for his.

A Republican is a responsible person who takes care of himself and his own.
A Democrat expects government to...

A Republican will know the Democrat is brainwashed.
If a Democrat thinks all this is "politically incorrect" speech and complains.

If a Republican reads this, he'll repost it so his friends can have a good laugh.
A Democrat will delete it because he's "offended" and he wants to abolish the "Second Amendment".
Found on Face Book; I added four lines and eight words.
